Dr. Harvey Thompson
University of Leeds
Dr. Harvey Thompson lectures on Fluids Mechanics in the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds. His main research interests lie in the development of computational methods and simulation tools for industrial coating and drying process design.
After graduating in Mathematics from Cambridge University in 1988, Harvey earned a doctorate degree on the computational simulation of industrial coating processes from the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds. After three years in the commercial sector with Andersen Consulting and then GMAP Ltd. where he specialized in computational market analysis, he returned to coating process simulation in 1995 as a Research Fellow at the University of Leeds.
