Dr. Jonathon Summers
University of Leeds

Dr. Jonathon Summers was appointed a research lecturer in the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds in 1995, where his mainstream research activities currently fall into three categories: fundamentals of interface phenomena, such as wetting and micro-elastohydrodynamic lubrication; thin film fluid mechanics, with particular interest in liquid coating processes; and meso-scale computational simulations of micro-scale multi-component flows. Summers has more than 10 years experience of applying mathematics and computation to the theoretical aspects of engineering.
He holds a doctorate in applied nonlinear dynamical systems from the Centre of Nonlinear Studies at the University of Leeds.
