Dr. Eldridge Mount

Dr. Eldridge Mount founded his consulting and training company in 2000 and serves as a Technical Consultant for AIMCAL. Areas of expertise include product and process design, troubleshooting, and training courses related to metallized films, atmospheric and vacuum-based surface treatment methods, development of film products, film- and extrusion-based manufacturing systems, intellectual property searches, and technology mapping. His background includes stints at ICI Americas and Mobil Chemical Films Division. He holds five U.S. patents and two European patents in the field of metallized films and high-barrier metallized films. Research projects include product design for oriented polypropylene films and clear barrier coatings, extruder screw design and characterization, and film coextrusion process studies.
